Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens on mopeds for Spring Breakers
The cast of Spring Breakers won’t
be acting when it comes to portraying a close friendship.
Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashely Benson are apparently
already the best of friends.
And naturally producers of the upcoming movie are delighted that
the girls have such a good chemistry, knowing that it will translate onto the
big screen.
Executive producer Wicks Walker gushed about the trio’s strong
bond to HollywoodLife.com.
He told the website: ‘A lot of interesting things are going to
happen with Spring Breakers. We are thrilled with the cast. ‘There should
be a natural chemistry with the girls…it’s great that Selena, Vanessa and
Ashley are all friends. This film is just magic.’ The three certainly
seems to be getting along well as they were spotted enjoying each other’s
company on set of the drama movie, which also stars James Franco, in Florida.
The girls were seen whizzing around on matching mopeds, with
Selena on a green bike, Vanessa on red and Ashley on orange. The actresses
were also spotted laughing and joking around as they took a break, cooling off
with some water after working hard in the sunshine. 19-year-old Selena and
22-year-old Ashley were also seen sharing a hug. The girls were all
dressed in cool and casual denim outfits for their respective roles in the
movie. High School Musical star Vanessa, 23, wore flared jeans, a pink and
white ruffled top and a woven brown belt. Actress and singer Selena looked
sweet in a retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt and dungarees, along with
a pair of simple black ballet pumps. It was Pretty Little Liars star
Ashley who had the sexiest look in a pair of daisy dukes with a baggy cream
tank top that gave a glimpse of her black bra.
As well as the cast setting up the movie to be a hit, Wicks Walker
also praised the stellar crew.
He told HollyWoodLife.com: ‘Harmony Korine, the film’s writer and
director, is known for his experimental, beautiful, unusual movies like Gummo,
Mister Lonely and Kids. James Franco jumped on board at the very beginning.’
He added: ‘Spring Breakers is a complex, edgy, but fun movie.
Incredible people are making the film, Chris Hanley who made American Psycho
and of course Harmony, and the rest of the production is an ace team too.’

Selena Gomez Headed To Florida To Shoot ‘Spring Breakers’
After hitting the town for Oscar
night, Selena Gomez hopped on a plane at LAX Feb. 27 and flew off to Florida,
where she’s set to start filming her new movie, Spring Breakers in two days.
The 19-year-old starlet was spotted by fans grabbing an early
lunch at a Mexican restaurant inside the airport and then tweeted when she got
on her flight, “Off to filming….”
Spring Breakers, which also stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley
Benson, tells the story of four college girls who rob a restaurant in order to
get money for their trip to the beach with “a rapping drug and arms dealer who
bails them out of jail and entices them to kill his arch-rival,” who is played
by James Franco.

Selena Gomez at Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party
Before attending the upcoming 84th
Annual Academy Awards this coming weekend, some big stars in movie industry
celebrated the prestigious event at Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party.
Among those who stole attention upon arriving at the bash was Selena
Gomez.
Selena Gomez opted for a cute-yet-mature look in a daring
dark-colored bustier which she matched with a short nude-colored skirt and a
pair of matching high heels. The 19-year-old star wore her hair down and styled
it in soft curls.
The party took place at Cecconi's Restaurant on Friday night,
February 24 in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. It was co-hosted by Academy
Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who also looked lovely showing off her
cleavage in a black deep-plunging number.
Also coming to the soiree were Vanessa Hudgens, The
23-year-old Journey 2 actress rocked a Tibi dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Amrapali
earrings and cuff, and a Loree Rodkin Ring.
Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain
and Octavia Spencer. They lighted up the event with their choice of bright
colored outfits. Vanessa donned an orange gown, Viola opted for a purple
ensemble, Jessica rocked a pink number, and Octavia chose a yellow dress.

Selena Gomez Replaces Miley Cyrus in Vampire Flick
Selena Gomez wants to suck your
blood.
In the movie, Dracula (voiced by
Adam Sandler) sets up a resort to house all of the classic monsters including
Frankenstein (Kevin James), the Bride of Frankenstein (Fran Drescher), the
Invisible Man (David Spade), Quasimodo (David Koechner), Murray the Mummy (Cee
Lo Green), and a couple of werewolves (Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon).
Problems arise, however, when a human boy discovers the hotel and falls in love
with Mavis.
Hotel Transylvania also stars SNL's
Andy Samberg, Cee Lo Green and Kevin James and will reportedly be released in
September. Selena will soon be shooting Spring Breakers in Florida.
The edgy flick, about a group of co-eds partying it up while on Spring Break,
costars James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens.
Earlier E! reported that Miley Cyrus,
who was attached to play Mavis in the Sony Pictures Animation film, has been
forced to exit the project and now it has been reported that Selena Gomez has
been brought on to take her place. When asked for comment about why Cyrus had
to neg on her deal, the studio replied with no comment.
Selena Gomez and The Scene temporarily go their separate ways
Selena Gomez just wrapped up her
South American tour. Along with having to say goodbye to the road, the fans,
and the stage, Gomez also had to say goodbye to her band The Scene. The
19-year-old is going to be focusing more on her acting career this year, so she
is temporarily splitting from her band.
"I can't express enough how grateful I am for this group.
They have been with me since day one and I can't believe it's actually over. I
love you The Scene, marsh mellow girls, Ashley & Ashlee, Jivanta, Marco,
Brian & Brian, mark, Jason, Javier, Timmy! Could NOT have done any of this
without you,” she wrote on her Instagram page. “Currently bawling my eyes out.
I'll miss you guys."
Sel posted on her Facebook account “My band and I are going our separate ways for a while,” she
explained "This year is all about films and acting and I
want my band to play music wherever with whoever. We will be back, but it will
be a good while. I love them and I love you guys :).”
Selena Gomez has multiple films
that she’s signed on to film. She is set to star in Harmony Korine’s Spring
Breakers with Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco. She is also said to be starring
in the thriller Aftershock, as well as producing and rumored to be staring in
the film adaptation of the Jandy Nelson novel The Sky is Everywhere. She's also
rumored to be a part of a film called Hot Mess.
She recently became attached to yet another film. She is replacing
Miley Cyrus as the voice of Mavis, the vampire daughter of Dracula, in Adam
Sandler’s animated film Hotel Transylvania, which also features the voices of
Cee Lo Green, Kevin James, and Andy Samberg.

You Could Be In ‘Spring Breakers’ With Selena Gomez
Calling all aspiring actors and
actresses! Hollywood is looking for extras to join Selena Gomez, Vanessa
Hudgens and Ashley Benson in their new chick flick ‘Spring Breakers.’ Do you
have what it takes?
There’s no question Spring Breakers has one of the hottest casts
in Hollywood right now! The movie, about four college girls who rob a
restaurant to help pay for their college spring break, stars Selena Gomez, 19,
her BFF Ashley Benson, 22, Vanessa Hudgens, 23, AND James Franco, 33. And
if you have the typical “spring break look,” are comfortable wearing “swimsuit
attire,” and between the ages of 18 and 25 — you could easily join the cast,
too.
“Because the film centers around Spring Break situations casting
agents are looking extras that have that ‘Spring Break’ college look. They are
seeking men and women who are comfortable in swimsuit attire. You must look
18-25 years-of age to apply as an extra for this project,” CBS Tampa reports.
Filming will take place in St. Petersburg and begin at the end of
March.

Selena Gomez receive golden record accolade
Selena slipped on a pair of heavily studded ankle
boots.
The love you like a love song sta -spangled boots
clearly fitted the bill as the 19-year-old was being presented with a golden
record in recognition for selling over 30,000 copies of her album, When The Sun
Goes Down.
Selena still sporting her technicolor rainbow hair,
which was this time styled in a chic blow-wave, Selena also slipped into a tiny
pair of Daisy Dukes. Her shoes were adorned with silver star studs.
She paired the look with a daring sheer white T-shirt and a melon-coloured cropped tuxedo jacket.
Her recent outfits aren't the only thing about Selena that is growing up, her film roles are also becoming more mature.
After the teenager finishes her South American tour,
she will go straight into filming Spring Breakers, an edgy, dark Harmony Korine
project.
Alongside James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Emma
Roberts, Selena plays the character of Faith, one of three friends who rob a
bank in order to pay for the classic American tradition of Spring Break.
And that isn't all the naughty mischief her character
gets up to.
The actress will also be seen drinking and partying in
the movie.
'She's the little more tamed down character but also
still gets a little crazy here and there,' Selena told E! Online.

Selena Gomez Fought For Bad Girl Role in Spring Breakers
The actress will co-star with Vanessa Hudgens and Emma Roberts as college students who end up behind bars after committing a robbery in director Harmony Korine's next film.
Selena worked tirelessly to prepare for her audition with Korine, and took a flight across the country from Los Angeles to Tennessee to try out.
She says, "I watched all of his films. I had to fight for that role because I flew to his house in Nashville and watched all his movies. I was like, 'I want to be in your movie' and he auditioned me for like an hour or two hours and it was awesome. Then I got the part so I am excited.
"It is something that is very dark and is very different and I am excited to be able to work with him. Of course, he is the person that is going to create all of this and he is going to help me and James Franco, Vanessa, Emma... They are all going to be so great to work against and the script is great. People are going to be a little surprised."
Selena admits she is not worried about her younger fans sneaking into theatres to see the movie since it will be an independent project.
She adds, "It will go to film festivals but it won't be so easy access to the younger audience. They can't go to the movies to watch that unless they went somewhere, so it won't be so much about that. It will be more for me just doing something that I am passionate about."
Spring Breakers is due to start in early 2012.

Selena Gomez New Movie "Spring Breakers"
Selena told MTV News "Right now we are wrapping up this year, and then beginning of next year I will be starting my new movie called ‘Spring Breakers," I’m really, really excited about it, It’s a different character than I have ever played before. It’s a different kind of vibe I think than people are used to seeing me in. What you’re going to see is more raw, I think. It’s going to be raw and more about acting.
The film that could costar James Franco, Emma Roberts, and Vanessa Hudgens. Selena will be a religious girl who “isn’t a thrill-seeker like the rest of the girls from the group.
