Selena Gomez sends birthday love to Justin

Justin turns 18 today and his girlfriend 19-year-old Selena is elated to be celebrating her bf official entry into adulthood.

The singer-and-actress appreciates the joy Justin brings into her life and wishes him nothing but joy in the coming year.

"Happy birthday to my best friend in the whole world!!! Have a great birthday baby!" Selena posted on her Twitter account today along with an attachment of the below photo.

Justin is equally excited about reaching this milestone.

"I'm great," Juston told Ryan Seacrest on his On Air radio programme Thursday morning. "I feel so much different. It's been crazy the amount of people who've been hitting me up and giving me birthday wishes."

Justin has received support on his big day from fans and well-wishers all over the world. and he cleared up any engagement talk with Selena. Bieber told the radio host:

"First and foremost, I’m not engaged. You know, we’re still young, at this moment in time, this is where I am, so that’s all I can really say."

Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez's Weekend Sushi/Movie Date

Taking a break from the studio to spend time with his gal, Justin Bieber treated Selena Gomez to a romantic afternoon in Los Angeles on Saturday (February 25).

The "Never Say Never" hitmaker and his "Who Says" singing girlfriend were joined by a group of friends as they made their way over to Sushi Dan a some tasty Japanese lunch.

Once filled up, the young couple continued along with their Oscar weekend date by heading to the Sherman Oaks galleria for a matinee movie.

The outing comes as Miss Gomez spent the previous night at the 5th Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party at Cecconi's.

While there, the 19-year-old chatted with E! News about her new tattoo - explaining that it isn't a little heart as widely reported.

"It's a music note," she said. "Everybody thought it was a heart, but it's a little music note."

Further explaining the meaning behind the ink job, Selena dished, "I was named after a singer and music obviously is a big influence for me. And there's music stuff with my mom that means a lot to me, too."
