Selena Gomez at Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Before attending the upcoming 84th Annual Academy Awards this coming weekend, some big stars in movie industry celebrated the prestigious event at Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party. Among those who stole attention upon arriving at the bash was Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez opted for a cute-yet-mature look in a daring dark-colored bustier which she matched with a short nude-colored skirt and a pair of matching high heels. The 19-year-old star wore her hair down and styled it in soft curls.

The party took place at Cecconi's Restaurant on Friday night, February 24 in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. It was co-hosted by Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who also looked lovely showing off her cleavage in a black deep-plunging number.

Also coming to the soiree were Vanessa Hudgens, The 23-year-old Journey 2 actress rocked a Tibi dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Amrapali earrings and cuff, and a Loree Rodkin Ring.

Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer. They lighted up the event with their choice of bright colored outfits. Vanessa donned an orange gown, Viola opted for a purple ensemble, Jessica rocked a pink number, and Octavia chose a yellow dress.

Selena Gomez Gets Brand New Tattoo

Selena Gomez showed off her new tattoo which is a small heart on her right wrist with The Smoking Gun tattoo shop owner Loui Gomez. Tattoo artist Jordan Sandoval tweeted on Thursday (Feb 22 ) that the Selena “took it like a champ” when he was tattooing her wrist. "She was excited,” Sandoval added. “She wasn’t nervous. She is way cute." The 'Monte Carlo" star went to Hollywood’s Under the Gun tattoo shop to get her permanent artwork done.

Recently the singer/actress sported a cross on her left wrist and got a henna dye tattoo of her nickname “Sel” on her right shoulder.

Selena Gomez stops love games for Bieber

Selena Gomez says Justin Bieber has stopped her from "playing games".

The 19-year-old star - who has been dating the 'Baby' hitmaker since December 2010 - admitted while she used to toy with people's emotions in the past, she has come to realize that such behavior is "silly".

She said: "I've played games in the past, but now I've finally met someone who makes me not play games. If you're playing games, you need to ask yourself if that person is really for you. Games are silly."

The former 'Wizards of Waverley Place' actress thinks the best relationships are based on "compassion and honesty", and believes being yourself is the key to success.

Selena explained to TOTP magazine: "I've conformed to a lot of guys that I liked before; it's very easy to want to be what they want you to be. But in the end, it just wasn't enjoyable - I was miserable half the time. The best person you can be with is someone you can be yourself with."

Despite their fame, Selena recently insisted she and Justin have a very normal relationship.

She said: "I'm just like every 19-year-old girl. If you're in love, you're in love to the fullest, and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible.

Selena Gomez puts the finishing touches to her new scent

Selena Gomez is putting the stamp on her recent success by launching her own perfume. The 19-year-old star visited New York where she put the final touches to her new scent, which is out in May.

The star looked stunning in a yellow patterned dress and turquoise platform heels, before she put on a white coat in the perfume laboratory.

She also met ten lucky fans who had been given the opportunity to help her finish the as-yet unnamed scent. 'They picked out something I’m really excited about and really proud of,' the singer told People following the event.

However, the star revealed she had been a little jittery before she met the fans. 'I was nervous,' she told the website. 'I relate a lot to my fans. Whenever I do concerts, shows, meet and greets, I see these people. 'They’re my age, or younger or a little older, and we’re all going through the same thing.'

The singer certainly seemed to enjoy herself, smiling alongside the group of happy tweens in a group picture. Her fans also joined her in the boardroom to discuss the scent before the day unfolded. According to People, the singer has been involved in the perfume throughout the process, choosing the initial notes and designing the bottle, which will be shaped like a gown with balloons on top.

'It’s been a long process, but it’s been really fun,' she admitted, adding that the fragrance contained notes of raspberry, chocolate and vanilla. She added: 'I’m in a place right now where I love intoxicating feelings… you just can’t get enough of it, you want more.'

Selena was without boyfriend Justin Bieber, but has revealed that she sought his input, along with pop star friend Taylor Swift regarding the fragrance.

Bieber has his his own scent named Someday, with Swift releasing fragrance Wonderstruck last year.

'It’s nice to say, "I’m so confused, what should I do?" says Selena. 'They’ve helped me, told me what they did.

'I did it a little differently than them, but it was good. I can’t wait for people to smell it.'

Wizards of Waverly Place Nominated for NAACP Award

Wizards of Waverly Place received a nomination for an award in the NAACP Image Awards.

The hit Disney Channel show is up for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series. The writers Vince Cheung and Ben Montanio are the ones to receive the award if they win for their writing on the Wizards Vs Angels episodes. NAACP is the accolade presented by the American National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to award outstanding people of color in film, television, music and literature. The 35 categories of Image Awards are voted on by members of the NAACP. There are also honorary awards, including the President’s Award, the Chairman’s Award, Entertainer of the Year and The Image Award Hall of Fame.

Selena Gomez 'When the Sun Goes Down' Sales UP

Selena Gomez's album sales of When the Sun Goes Down, goes up on the Black Friday weekend. Sales were up by 248%! Incredible! Did every teenage girl in the U.S. go out and buy Selena's album? Or are they all getting one in their Christmas stockings?
According to PerezHilton.com, it probably has something to do with a special that Universal Music was running over the Black Friday weekend, but 248% is very impressive!
Universal Music had a few selected albums for $7 special. Sel promoted her album at her We Own the Night concert tour. In which she visited cities in the U.S. and Canada too. There must be something she did during her tour, that caused peoples to take notice.

Well Congrats To Selena for her album. May be this boost will give us another Album from Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez Covers Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away"

Selena Gomez performed at the 107.9 'The End' 2011 Jingle Ball at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California on Thursday night (December 1).
Sel Gomez treated the packed house to a range of her tunes while She also covered Katy Perry's hit single "The One That Got Away" to the delight of the concertgoers.
