Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens on mopeds for Spring Breakers
The cast of Spring Breakers won’t
be acting when it comes to portraying a close friendship.
Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashely Benson are apparently
already the best of friends.
And naturally producers of the upcoming movie are delighted that
the girls have such a good chemistry, knowing that it will translate onto the
big screen.
Executive producer Wicks Walker gushed about the trio’s strong
bond to HollywoodLife.com.
He told the website: ‘A lot of interesting things are going to
happen with Spring Breakers. We are thrilled with the cast. ‘There should
be a natural chemistry with the girls…it’s great that Selena, Vanessa and
Ashley are all friends. This film is just magic.’ The three certainly
seems to be getting along well as they were spotted enjoying each other’s
company on set of the drama movie, which also stars James Franco, in Florida.
The girls were seen whizzing around on matching mopeds, with
Selena on a green bike, Vanessa on red and Ashley on orange. The actresses
were also spotted laughing and joking around as they took a break, cooling off
with some water after working hard in the sunshine. 19-year-old Selena and
22-year-old Ashley were also seen sharing a hug. The girls were all
dressed in cool and casual denim outfits for their respective roles in the
movie. High School Musical star Vanessa, 23, wore flared jeans, a pink and
white ruffled top and a woven brown belt. Actress and singer Selena looked
sweet in a retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt and dungarees, along with
a pair of simple black ballet pumps. It was Pretty Little Liars star
Ashley who had the sexiest look in a pair of daisy dukes with a baggy cream
tank top that gave a glimpse of her black bra.
As well as the cast setting up the movie to be a hit, Wicks Walker
also praised the stellar crew.
He told HollyWoodLife.com: ‘Harmony Korine, the film’s writer and
director, is known for his experimental, beautiful, unusual movies like Gummo,
Mister Lonely and Kids. James Franco jumped on board at the very beginning.’
He added: ‘Spring Breakers is a complex, edgy, but fun movie.
Incredible people are making the film, Chris Hanley who made American Psycho
and of course Harmony, and the rest of the production is an ace team too.’

Selena Gomez and The Scene temporarily go their separate ways
Selena Gomez just wrapped up her
South American tour. Along with having to say goodbye to the road, the fans,
and the stage, Gomez also had to say goodbye to her band The Scene. The
19-year-old is going to be focusing more on her acting career this year, so she
is temporarily splitting from her band.
"I can't express enough how grateful I am for this group.
They have been with me since day one and I can't believe it's actually over. I
love you The Scene, marsh mellow girls, Ashley & Ashlee, Jivanta, Marco,
Brian & Brian, mark, Jason, Javier, Timmy! Could NOT have done any of this
without you,” she wrote on her Instagram page. “Currently bawling my eyes out.
I'll miss you guys."
Sel posted on her Facebook account “My band and I are going our separate ways for a while,” she
explained "This year is all about films and acting and I
want my band to play music wherever with whoever. We will be back, but it will
be a good while. I love them and I love you guys :).”
Selena Gomez has multiple films
that she’s signed on to film. She is set to star in Harmony Korine’s Spring
Breakers with Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco. She is also said to be starring
in the thriller Aftershock, as well as producing and rumored to be staring in
the film adaptation of the Jandy Nelson novel The Sky is Everywhere. She's also
rumored to be a part of a film called Hot Mess.
She recently became attached to yet another film. She is replacing
Miley Cyrus as the voice of Mavis, the vampire daughter of Dracula, in Adam
Sandler’s animated film Hotel Transylvania, which also features the voices of
Cee Lo Green, Kevin James, and Andy Samberg.

Selena Gomez receive golden record accolade
Selena slipped on a pair of heavily studded ankle
boots.
The love you like a love song sta -spangled boots
clearly fitted the bill as the 19-year-old was being presented with a golden
record in recognition for selling over 30,000 copies of her album, When The Sun
Goes Down.
Selena still sporting her technicolor rainbow hair,
which was this time styled in a chic blow-wave, Selena also slipped into a tiny
pair of Daisy Dukes. Her shoes were adorned with silver star studs.
She paired the look with a daring sheer white T-shirt and a melon-coloured cropped tuxedo jacket.
Her recent outfits aren't the only thing about Selena that is growing up, her film roles are also becoming more mature.
After the teenager finishes her South American tour,
she will go straight into filming Spring Breakers, an edgy, dark Harmony Korine
project.
Alongside James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Emma
Roberts, Selena plays the character of Faith, one of three friends who rob a
bank in order to pay for the classic American tradition of Spring Break.
And that isn't all the naughty mischief her character
gets up to.
The actress will also be seen drinking and partying in
the movie.
'She's the little more tamed down character but also
still gets a little crazy here and there,' Selena told E! Online.

Selena Gomez Fought For Bad Girl Role in Spring Breakers
The actress will co-star with Vanessa Hudgens and Emma Roberts as college students who end up behind bars after committing a robbery in director Harmony Korine's next film.
Selena worked tirelessly to prepare for her audition with Korine, and took a flight across the country from Los Angeles to Tennessee to try out.
She says, "I watched all of his films. I had to fight for that role because I flew to his house in Nashville and watched all his movies. I was like, 'I want to be in your movie' and he auditioned me for like an hour or two hours and it was awesome. Then I got the part so I am excited.
"It is something that is very dark and is very different and I am excited to be able to work with him. Of course, he is the person that is going to create all of this and he is going to help me and James Franco, Vanessa, Emma... They are all going to be so great to work against and the script is great. People are going to be a little surprised."
Selena admits she is not worried about her younger fans sneaking into theatres to see the movie since it will be an independent project.
She adds, "It will go to film festivals but it won't be so easy access to the younger audience. They can't go to the movies to watch that unless they went somewhere, so it won't be so much about that. It will be more for me just doing something that I am passionate about."
Spring Breakers is due to start in early 2012.
