Selena Gomez Raises $200,000 for UNICEF
Selena Gomez headlined a charity concert at LA's House of Blues last night. Selena raised more than $200,000 for UNICEF, and she also got a big surprise when David Beckham and his three sons dropped by to see the show. David, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz made it a boys night out while Victoria stayed home with little Harper.
Selena also got support from Justin Bieber and Ashley Tisdale. She posted pic of her with Ashley at her Instagram. Selena joined United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in 2008, speaking out on issues such as children's rights, and she became an official representative of the charitable cause the following year (09).
Selena later took to her Facebook page to thank her fans for their support, and revealed the concert had raised more than $200,000 (£125,000).
She posted on Facebook, "Thank You to all who came out to the show last night at House of Blues on Sunset. That is one of the shows I look forward to the most and cannot wait for next year's show.
"I don't have an exact number but together we all raised over 200,000 dollars to benefit Unicef. We're helping to save the lives of children all over the world."
